Coca-Ina
A.K.A. Mami Montana: Born in Tampa, Florida,
Coca-Ina moved from state to state stopping briefly in
the tri-state area and continued down I-95 until finally
making her home in the talent flourishing city of
Atlanta. Facing unspeakable trials and
tribulations at a young age she soon learned to express
herself through her literary work and became focused on
her music endeavors. She gained local fame during
her time at Georgia State University while co-hosting
the award winning Rhythm & Vibes Hip Hop show on the
100,000 watt college station.
Currently,
Coca-Ina has been in the studio with hit Aftermath
producer, Focus, who has worked with the likes of
Beyonce, J-Lo, 50 Cent and The Game just to name a few.
Also, she has been working with the upcoming Ruff Ryders
producer, Neo, widely known for his work on the recent
Jadakiss album. Coca-Ina is affiliated with the
New Jersey based Murda Mami, a collective of industry
females, including Rah Diggah, Remy Martin, Lala from
MTV and Sunny from New York's Hot 97. She has
graced the stage along with the top DJ's and continues
to verbally deliver her best on numerous mixtapes around
the country.
Already
creating a buzz in the music industry her flow is often
compared to a female version of noted rapper Jay-Z;
however her distinct voice and character are not easily
defined. Coca-Ina incorporates her Caribbean and
Latin roots as well, often rhyming back and forth from
English to Spanish. With such a diverse background
and real life experiences on her shoulder her music
remains truly universal. And, is accepted by a
broad spectrum of people both in, out and around the Hip
Hop community. Although she has drawn considerable
interest she remains independent until a desirable offer
is available.
