Riverbottom
Entertainment is a record label / music production
company based out of San Diego, California. Headed by
Oscar Mendoza and producer / artist Shysti. Riverbottom
Entertainment has established itself as a powerhouse in
the Chicano Rap genre having produced records for
artists such as Frost, Baby Bash, Don Cisco, Shadow, and
most recently, the legendary Mr. Lil One. Riverbottom
Entertainment has made a tremendous impact in this
industry.
Besides Chicano Rap, however, Riverbottom Entertainment
has produced tracks for pop superstars Christina
Aguilera and Ricky Martin, platinum rock group POD,
rappers Brotha Lynch Hung and C-Bo, WWE stars, and even
had a hip-hop song placed in a recently released Sony
Pictures movie called Something's Gotta Give, starring
Jack Nicholson and Diane Keaton. The song was It's On
Tonite, published by Riverbottom Entertainment's own
company, Shysti Music Publishing (ASCAP), working with
two of Hollywood's elite publishing houses, Maryatt
Music Group and Trakwerx.
As a record label, Riverbottom Entertainment secured two
major deals in 2003. Number one: a distribution deal to
have their releases available nationwide. And most
importantly, number two: a joint-venture with Mr. Lil
One's own Sicko Records (Mr. Lil One, Youngstah, Crhymes).
These deals opened up the floodgates for Riverbottom
Entertainment to release unprecedented albums and
projects for 2004.
Riverbottom Entertainment has also signed singing
sensation Michelle Ambriz, who will make her album debut
in 2004, reggae phenomenon Tribal Seeds, a young Latino
roots reggae band, and up and coming San Diego rapper
Young Sage. Riverbottom Entertainment will continue to
produce and market hot records and also to license and
administer publishing for all of its artists.
